How many people can remember attending weddings at the Swanwick Hall? After the meal the chairs would be pushed to one side for dancing!

The Revolution House

These two articles about the Revolution and the Revolution House were both posted on facebook on the Chesterfield and Area History and Genealogy page. There may be some who haven't seen them, they both give information about the historical event on 1688 which you may find interesting.

The first was posted by Andrew Johnson earlier this year, an extract reprinted in the Derbyshire Times in 1929.

The second was posted by Rob Marriott 2 days ago originally from the Illustrated London News December 18th 1847. The picture of the Revolution House certainly looks a lot different to how it appears today.
